The communications context
Research-led organizations produce detailed findings that can inform business decisions. In external communications, the challenge is often deciding what those findings mean to different readers.
The tension
Data alone does not tell an executive, journalist or business owner why the finding deserves attention, and exaggerated claims can weaken the credibility of the research.
The strategic lens
Build a hierarchy from evidence to insight to implication. Explain what the data supports, what it does not support and why it matters to the intended audience.
What it reinforces
Research becomes more useful when the story respects both the evidence and its limits.
My prior work in this sector covered positioning, messaging, PR strategy, media outreach and campaign execution. The observations above explain a relevant strategic lens; they are not claims about a particular confidential brief, outcome or historical campaign.
